The journey begins
So, here we are. There’s nothing more intimidating than a blank slate, but it is inspiring too. What will end up being on it? The possibilities are endless.
Here I am. Working on my first real release of a game. I’ve spent 10 years making stupid little games on and off. The only ones I released were a simple platformer made in an engine called Stencyl (side note, Google if Stencyl still exists) and a Flappy Bird clone that I published to the Google Play store.
I fell out of love with making my own games when I started working for a large financial company. I didn’t fall out of love, it was more like a painful separation. I just simply did not have the time or energy to work on anything. I only had time to consume. I decided to get back into it after making a short game for internal use at this company and remembering how rewarding and fun it is.
Now you know a bit about the hand seeking to shatter the crown.
Thanks for reading the ramblings of a naïve man. I appreciate it. See you around.
